Welcome to From the Ground Up Podiatry

Welcome to From the Ground Up Podiatry and Barefoot Medical Spa, the only facility of its kind in northern New England, where we specialize in nail and skin care for the lower legs and feet.

We’re passionate about promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and helping our patients look and feel amazing – inside and out.

Effective April 1, 2026, we will be transitioning to a Direct Care – Self Pay practice. Over time, insurance companies have created more red tape, shorter visit times, and higher patient costs — all while limiting what services we can offer. By transitioning to a direct-care model, we can eliminate the middleman and focus solely on what matters – you and your health.

We welcome you to join our practice! However, we will not bill your insurance on your behalf. Instead, we will provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you are a Medicare or Medicare Advantage beneficiary, you will be asked to sign an opt-out contract agreeing not to submit your expenses to insurance. We have transparent, reasonable pricing and flexible payment policies.

This model allows us to:

  • Spend more time with each patient
  • Offer transparent, upfront pricing
  • Reduce administrative overhead
  • Deliver more effective, individualized treatment plans

In short, we are reclaiming the freedom to provide better care for you — without interference. We look forward to seeing you!
